Calling the Warwickshire Domestic Abuse helpline - a walkthrough

When you call the Warwickshire Domestic Abuse helpline on 0800 408 1552, Warwickshire County Council operatives will be able to give you information, and signpost you to an appropriate support service, such as Warwickshire Domestic Violence Support Services.

If you need the Warwickshire Domestic Abuse helpline to call you back - that is available, but please remember that a Warwickshire number will come up if you are using a mobile phone, or some landline services.

Opening hours

The Warwickshire Domestic Abuse helpline is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays.

Outside of these hours, please call 0808 2000 247, the freephone 24 Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline, run in partnership between Women's Aid and Refuge.

Calls from most landlines to the Warwickshire Domestic Abuse line are free, and not itemised on bills.

If in doubt, or you are calling from a mobile, please check with your telephone provider.

Please remember that

  • You do not have to give your name if you don’t want to
  • You are in control, you can put the phone down at any time
  • The operative is there to listen and take any information that you want to give, such as:
    • Requests for assistance
    • Information requests
    • Reporting of incidents/perceived incidents
  • Any information you give is treated in the strictest confidence (unless there are serious concerns around child protection)
  • If you wish, the information you give can then be sent to a support agency, such as Warwickshire Domestic Violence Support Services.
