This programme aims to: Explore what is meant by Domestic Abuse and its impact on adults and children.

By the end of the course participants will have an understanding of:

  • Domestic Abuse and its impact on children and young people
  • The links between domestic abuse and child protection
  • Identifying strategies to overcome barriers to identification and intervention of Domestic Abuse
  • Strategies for Effective Working Together to Safeguard Children and young people affected by domestic abuse
  • The different professionals and services that are avilable in Warwickshire to support children, young people and families who have been affeced by Domestic Abuse

 

This training builds on the learning outcomes from Domestic Abuse Level 1 training. Staff should attend Domestic Abuse Level 1 or be able to deomonstrate learning at that level before applying to attend this course.

This programme will be delivered by members of WSCB training Sub-Committee, an officer from CPU, a Clinical Psychologist and Practitioners working in Warwickshire's Domestic Abuse Services.
