What Warwickshire is doing to combat Domestic Abuse
Agencies in Warwickshire:
In Warwickshire, all agencies are committed to tackling domestic abuse, working in partnership with statutory, voluntary, community organisations and individuals. Some of which can be found within 'Supporting Agencies in Warwickshire'.
Warwickshire's aims are to:
- Prevent and reduce the incidents of domestic violence across Warwickshire, to reduce repeat victimisation and to protect victims and their children from violence
- Provide a sympathetic and appropriate supportive response to victims and their children from all agencies and consult with service users on the quality and appropriateness of services provided
- Work towards tackling repeat incidents by effectively working with perpetrators of domestic violence
Warwickshire has agreed that domestic abuse is defined as:
"any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are, or have ever been, intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality."
