Calling the Domestic Abuse Counselling Service - A step by step guide
Who can call The Domestic Abuse Counselling Service?
- Any adult who has used abuse towards an intimate partner past or present in a heterosexual or same sex relationship.
What number you should use
- The main office number is 0845 0044075
- The telephone line is managed from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday
- Please ask to speak to Kate Farmer the service manager.
When you call
- The service manager will speak with you personally and you will be offered an assessment appointment.
- If the counselling program is appropriate for you based on your assessment, you will be assigned a personal counsellor for an initial 12 weeks.
- The DACS counselling program is ‘one to one’ intervention therapy.
- Our counsellors are fully trained in all aspects of intervention work and will work with you towards ‘positive change’ and safe intimate relationships.
- The program is available to residents of Warwickshire, from our head office base in Nuneaton.
- DACS are unable to offer a free service.
- Fees are negotiable based on income
